At Nelson Ledges and the "Lamest Day" SMS Team Eau Rude came in 48th out of 120 some odd cars.. We actually led the race for a lap or 10, and after 100 laps we were solidly in 5th place.. impressive for a bunch of autocrossers turned lemonheads!!
Penalties and mechanical breakdowns started soon after, and we worked through the night and managed to fix everything, and get back into the action. We did over 1100 miles and were on the track when the whistle blew.. all in all, we are pretty damned proud of ourselves!!
We intend to re-enter the now devalued (THANKS JAY!!!) SE-R and in addition, the other drivers and SMS itself are hooked and plan to build some additional cars! MORE LATER ON THAT!! or STAY TUNED, or whatever.. just keep checking back and watch what we have in store develop!
